Batch Reactor Runaway Behaviour

Estimate of Boundary between safe & runaway regions has 3 main research
directions:
1) Parametric sensitivity method
2) Divergence method by chaos theoy
3) Stretching -based method ( Stretching rates along system trajectories )

EFFECT OF WALL CAPACTIANCE-

With introduction of extraneous wall capacitance, batch reactors shows non-sensitivity
under parametric sensitivity conditions that is It stabilizes the reactor by exhibiting
insensitivity. Mathematical models can be developed and solved numerically in MATLAB
using ODE’s for mass & energy balance.
