Compare the Fishbone Diagram from Decision Tree in doing a Root Cause Analysis.
Give some examples to illustrate their difference.

The fishbone diagram also known as Ishikawa or the cause-and-effect diagram has the
appearance of a fishbone where it shows the what the cause and sub-causes of a problem
may be This type of diagram is useful in grouping causes such as people, measurements,
methods, materials, environment and machines, all of which are group into their specific
categories. Categories can come as 4Ms (manufacturing), 4Ss (services) or 8 Ps (also
service) which depends on the industry. The decision tree is a support tool used for aiding
one in making decisions, it uses a tree-like graph or model which contains decisions and the
consequences that may go with them, these include chance event outcomes, resource
costs and utility. This diagramming method can be used to display an algorithm which
include conditional control statements.
