Short-Listing Procedure for GD-PI

Selection of candidates is based on CAT (Common Admission Test, conducted by the IIMs) and
candidates’ educational backgrounds.

KINDLY NOTE: Admissions under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category may be considered later
subject to the guidelines to be issued by the University of Delhi.

CRITERION FOR SHORT-LISTING FOR GD/PI

 It is decided to call candidates for GD-PI twelve times of the seats in each category for
MBA(FM) and ten times of the seats in each category for MBA(BE).

Cut-off for General Category:

 Sectional cutoffs for all the three sections in CAT percentile result is 70 and overall
aggregate cut off is 97.01 percentile for MBA (Financial Management) and 95.80 for
MBA (Business Economics) for short-listing General Category candidates for GD/PI.
 Then, overall index is prepared for all the categories on the basis of criterion already
announced and which are follows:
o CAT Percentile - Weightage – 75%
o Marks obtained in Class-X - Weightage – 10%
o Marks obtained (best of four) in Class-XII - Weightage – 7.50%
o Marks obtained in Mathematics/Business Mathematics in Class-XII
Examination - Weightage – 2.50%
o Candidates with the mentioned Graduate Degrees (given below) - Weightage –
5%
 The mentioned Graduate Degrees:
o B. Com. (Hons.),
o B. A. (Hons.) (Economics),
o B. A. (Hons.) (Business Economics),
o BBE
o BBS/BMS and
o BFIA/BBA(FIA).

 The following grading system is used for the marks obtained in different class X, XII and
marks in Mathematics.
