Short-Listing Procedure For GD-PI: Cut-Off For General Category
Selection of candidates is based on CAT (Common Admission Test, conducted by the IIMs) and
candidates’ educational backgrounds.
KINDLY NOTE: Admissions under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category may be considered later
subject to the guidelines to be issued by the University of Delhi.
It is decided to call candidates for GD-PI twelve times of the seats in each category for
MBA(FM) and ten times of the seats in each category for MBA(BE).
The following grading system is used for the marks obtained in different class X, XII and
marks in Mathematics.
GRADING SYSTEM ADOPTED FOR MARKS
95% and More 10
90% and more but less than 95% 9
85% and more but less than 90% 8
80% and more but less than 85% 7
75% and more but less than 80% 6
70% and more but less than 75% 5
65% and more but less than 70% 4
60% and more but less than 65% 3
55% and more but less than 60% 2
50% and more but less than 55% 1
Less than 50% 0
Accordingly, the following index cut-offs are observed for the categories:
