Pre-lesson: Pupils are given cut up sentence strips to match
in their groups.
Lesson delivery:
1. A set of ‘On A Holiday’ reading cards are pasted
around the class. Pupils go around to read the reading
cards.
2. Pupils are introduced to the many different things that
people do during the holidays. Pupils share their ideas as
well.
3. Pupils are introduced to describe their drawing from the
previous lesson using past tense and sample sentences
from the reading cards.
4. Pupils prepare their sample sentences and practise.
5. Pupils talk about their drawing.
Post-lesson: Pupils complete their learning diaries.
