It's Time, Would Rather
The meaning is that something should be done before it’s too late, or that it should have been
done already.
The expression it’s time is followed by the past form when it is followed by a new
subject.
It’s time is followed by the infinitive when there is only one subject.
WOULD RATHER
It’s used to show preference. It has a present and future meaning.
When we use would rather to show what we want someone else to do, it’s followed
by the past simple
Would rather is followed by the root of the verb form when there is only one subject.

2. You and your friend are both hungry. Your friend suggests a Chinese meal. You prefer
Thai food.
3. It’s raining. Your friend suggests walking home. You want to take a taxi.
4. You are having a drink with a friend. You have to arrive home before 9 p.m. It’s now

5. You’re looking after a small child. It’s 11 o’clock. You think he ought to go to bed.
