Interviewed Dec 2010 in Mumbai (India) (took a day)

They have their walk-in going on from Oct-2010. I applied in Dec 2010 and they had the
walk-in going on from 15-19 Dec 2010. First I was made to fill one form consisting of name,
educational background and work ex information if any. Then there was a aptitude test
consisting of 30 question - 20 questions were related to maths and reasoning (very easy
questions, if u have given different aptitude test then this would be a very easy task for you)
and 10 questions were on case given on mortgage. Case was simple consisting of something
related to Fixed interest rate, floating interest rate. Two cases were there each consisting of 5
marks. For this test time allotted was 45 mins and no negative marking

After you clear this round you will be made to give a skill related test. This test is based on
all concepts of mortgage. A case is given where different mortgage concepts are defined and
at last one doc request form is given in that case. Total 20 questions are there but all are
subjective type means no options provided. But this test is also easy if you know something
about mortgage. Time for this test is 1:45 mins. In the first 0.5 years try to read the complete
case and then in the remaining time you can easily solve the questions.
Mind you a single mistake can eliminate you in this round because other people also solve the
same case and if you score less than them by a point then you are out

After you clear this round then there will be a HR interview round. 1:1 interview takes place.
Questions are:
Tell me about yourself (Every HR's fav question)
Questions on resume
Questions on salary i.e. how much you want and why you expect that much salary
R u comfortable for night shift?
And some general questions
And also questions from 2nd test paper so better read the second test paper case thouroughly.

After you clear this round then there is a Psychometric test- Time limit is not there for this
test
You have to answer some general questions by typing the answers on the PC. They check
your written communication skills over here.
Questions are such as: Abt personality characteristics, work exp, ability, disappointment
suffered in last 6 mnths, success in last 6 mths and many more. Total i think there were near
about 12-15 questions. This test takes more time as you have to type the answers.

Last round is a Technical interview round. One technical person wil take your interview.
Questions asked was:
General HR kind questions
What is mortgage. What do you understand from our profile.
What is sub-prime crisis (their fav question)
Where do you see yourself in nxt 2 years
Are u comfortable with night shifts
Can u sign a bond of 24 mnths or 1 year with us
Can u work hard and work for long hours and also on weekends when official holiday is
there.
And many such type of question related ti finance if u r from finance background.

In all i m waiting for their response as i have cleared all the process and lets see whether they
will offer me d analyst profile.
My interview was good and their response was also very positive but you cant say what dey
might be thinking. Their openings are goin on from many days. And when i went for last
interview he tld me that d training wil start from 20th dec i.e. immediately after last walk-in
day.

I think they are very choosy abt a particular person whim they r selecting..........
So dont generate hope if you are able to clear some rounds as they are not very much
interested to select ny1

In all my experience was good but I am little bit skeptical about whether they recruit any
person or not.
BTW i am a fresher so fresher r not at a disadvantaged stage

Definition: A mortgage is an agreement to give up an interest in something if you fail to perform

some duty. In many cases, it means that you'll give up your home if you fail to repay your home
loan as agreed. You can use mortgage as a verb, meaning "to pledge".

Mortgage and "home loan" are often used interchangeably. However, the mortgage is really the
agreement that makes your home loan work -- the bank wouldn't lend you hundreds of thousands
of dollars unless they knew they could claim your home in the event of your default.
