The Eucharistic Life
The Eucharistic Life
According to the dogmatic teaching of the Orthodox Church, The eucharistic life
implies the live participation of the People of God or the community of genuinely
baptized orthodox christians in the holy sacraments of the church while the words of
Peter the Apostle concerning the <royal priesthood> (I Peter 2.9) means not priests in
a liturgical (sacramental) sense, i. e not those who fulfil the holy rites of Church, but
a community or a flock of orthodox believers who were called as <royal priesthood>
by the apostle because of the reason that their Shepherd Iesus christ as a man was a
descendant both of a royal and a priestly generation and that He bestowed His people
these two dignities simultaneously to become this people the holy assembly of god
and preach the virtues or the charities of Christ
