DESCRIPTION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN

LABELLING
 All hazardous waste must be securely placed in appropriate containers duly
identified with proper labels
 Labeling should be done at the facility and be retained up to disposal

HANDLING AND STORAGE


 Storage site must be accessible in case of emergencies, enclosed but
adequately ventilated, floors should be impermeable to liquids and resistant to
chemical, not slippery, and could retain spillages
 Be properly secured and not easily accessed by unauthorized persons
 Hazardous waste should be stored according to waste type with proper waste
segregation and check regularly
 Personnel must be adequately trained in handling and must have appropriate
protective equipment

TRANSPORT AND DISPOSAL

 All hazardous waste generated shall be disposed to DENR accredited


transporter
 Disposal shall cover manifest to relieve accountability
 Waste must be properly classified, packed, labeled and in proper condition
prior to disposal

RECORDING AND MONITORING

 Pollution Control Officer (PCO) prepares self – monitoring report quarterly


 Keep monitoring data and ensure that the requirements of DAO 2013 – 22 (Revised
Procedures and Standards for the Management of Hazardous Wastes) are being done
