    WOMENS BOXING: PETECIO OUTCLASSES VORONSTOVE

    AND BRINGS HOME THE GOLD

    Filipino boxer Nesthy Petecio with might and fury clinched the gold
    medal in the 2019 AIBA Womens Boxing Championship besting Ludmilla
    Voronstove at the latters turf in Ulan-Ude, Russia October 13 2019.
    Petecio in a battle of attrition outclassed her Russian adversary in
    the womens featherweight class despite the Ruskies hometown advantage.
    The Filipino Boxer delivered the clearer and more staggering blows
    in the 3 round bout, but still had to settle for a split decision.
    Three of the judges scored 30-27, 30-27 for petecio and 29-28 for
    Voronstove , Association of Boxing Alliances of the Philippines (ABAP) president
    Ricky Vargas was elated with the result.
