I. OBJECTIVES

Content Standard/s To demonstrate an understanding of the nature of both philosophy


and human personhood through the use of philosophical theories
and methods in examining the human person as a free and
conscious individual existing in the world
Performance Standard/s To perform different activities, as specified in the chapters and
lessons under this unit, which enable them to use their learning to
resolve or manage concrete issues in their lives, and to critically
reflect on how their learning experiences broaden their view of life.

Learning Competencies 1. Distinguish a holistic perspective from a partial point of view.


2. Recognize human activities that emanated from deliberate
reflection.
3. Realize the value of doing philosophy in obtaining a broad
perspective on life.
