Spanish Book Report
Spanish Book Report
Each student will find a illustrated children's book written in Spanish. Using this book each stu-
dent will create a short book report. The book report will include the following:
Short Summary: In 300-500 words the student will summarize the main events of the book.
Character Analysis: Each student will choose three characters from the book. They will provide
a short description of the characteristics (physical, personal, etc.) of the character. (Minimum 60
words per character)
Opinion: Students should share a short reflection about the story. What they liked, why they
liked it, and what made them choose the book.
Spanish Vocabulary: Each student should provide a list of 15 NEW vocabulary words learned
in book and their definitions.
Visual Aide: Each student will prepare a poster board, with illustrations of the story. The poster
board will also include each of the different pieces listed above.
Requirements: All pieces should be typed and provided on the poster board.
! ! Each book must have at least 15 pages with text on them.
Deadlines:
Monday December 1st, 2014: Students must show Señor Rutt their book.
Thursday/Friday December 4th/5th, 2014: Students must provide a typed summary of the
book. (300-500 words)
Tuesday/Wednesday December 9th/10th: Character Analysis (3 characters, minimum 60
words per character)
Monday December 15th, 2014: Each student will present in 2-3 minutes their story to the
class.
How to find a book: There are electronic versions of many books online that can be bought
and printed out or emailed to me. You can also check out a book from the public library. As well
as buy a book on Amazon or at a local book store.
