Sub: Reporting the results of brick test through LIMS-reg

Vide reference cited, 20 numbers of Common Burnt Clay Building bricks of size (21.5 X10x7
cm) were supplied to the C&S division on 06/06/2018 for testing the dimensional tolerance
of bricks. The dimensional tolerance for bricks is computed as per the provisions of clause
6.2 of IS: 1077 and the computed dimensional tolerances shall be within the range
stipulated by the code. In order to compare the dimensional tolerances as per the provisions
of the IS code, the bricks shall be of standard size mentioned in the code. However, the size
of the bricks received at this laboratory is not conforming to any of the standard dimensions
givenin the code and hence thedimensional tolerance for the bricks cannot be reported.
