1. Introduction

Tadween is a multilingual desktop program which provides a simple and easy way to
write Arabic text in the applications which doesn’t support Arabic, but support
Unicode text in general.

Tadween doesn’t need special fonts to work so it can be used to write Arabic text
using “any” Arabic font.

2. How to use Tadween

1.2. Writing Arabic text in foreign applications

1- Write the text you want in the top textbox.


While you’re writing the text, Tadween will process the text and display the
modified text in the bottom textbox.
2- Copy the new text (you may skip this step if the option ‘Auto copy to
clipboard’).

3- Paste the text in the target application.

2.2. Modifying previously written text 

To modify any text which had previously written using Tadween, follow these steps:

1- Select the thext and copy it to memory.



2- Paste the text in the bottom textbox in Tadween.
The original text will appear immediately in the top textbox.

3.2. Text Wrapping

When writing a long text using Tadween, the output text may be wrapped and as a
result the lines will appear reversed, as in the following picture:



To overcome this problem follow these steps:

1- From ‘Edit’ menu choose ‘Change Text Font’, and then set the font settings as
they are in the target application.

2- Write the text you want in the top textbox, and resize the application window
until it’s size be the same as it in the target application.

3- Check the option ‘Convert wrapped text to lines’.

4- Copy the new text (you may skip this step if the option ‘Auto copy to
clipboard’).

2- Paste the text in the target application, and notice that they appear correctly
now.

4.2. Quick Text Edit

Tadween introduces a quick and simple way to modify and write Arabic in foreign
applications by using “Quick Edit” mode.

To enable and use “Quick Edit” mode follow these steps:

1- Enable “Monitor Clipboard” option from “Tools” menu.

2- Copy the text you want to modify in the target application twice, a popup
window will be shown.

3- Modify the text and press “OK” to write the modified text in the target
application automatically.

Hint: You can hide the Tadween main window while using it in “Quick Edit” mode,
by choosing “Hide” from the menu which appears when right clicking on the icon of
Tadween in system tray.

5.2. Change application language

Open ‘Tools’ menu and choose ‘Language’, and choose the desired language from the
list of available languages.
