JOB TITLE: Development Producer

Contract: 1 Year Contract (Flexible & Continuing)

Context: As Development Producer, Sandeep Sinha will report to Mr. Karan Arora (Producer).
The nature of the role can involve unpredictable work patterns and cycles to meet development
requirements and schedules of the said film.

PURPOSE
To develop and manage a strategy for bringing creative talent in the form of Writers, Script
Consultant, Director, and ensure development and completion of the “Screenplay” of the said
feature film.

To develop and manage a strategy for bringing creative and technical talents, designing budgets
and schedules as per Producers requirements - so as to set up and make the project : Production
Ready Project

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

A willing and co-operative approach to work as a member of a team.

The ability to operate flexibly, to work and to manage a variable workload. And display tact and
sensitivity when dealing with writers, director and other talents and team members.

Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working
relations with a wide range of production and non-production personnel, internal and external to
Picture Thoughts Productions.

Effective time-management and organisational skills and the ability to exercise initiative and to
work unsupervised. The ability to judge when further reference is necessary.

Resilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from demanding situations
and conflicting priorities.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Extensive experience of script development.

Thorough knowledge of script material sources and the availability and potential of new and
established talents. A general understanding of copyright law, Writers Association agreements,
contracts and the legal implications of the development process. And an awareness of the
financial consequences of script decisions.

Sound knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for Film Development. And ability to exercise
initiative and to work unsupervised.

Effective time-management and organisational skills. Administrative experience with


demonstrable ability to work in an office. A flexible and positive attitude to work

Strong IT skills, e.g. PowerPoint and Excel, Word, Final Draft and other online and offline
applications.
