INTRODUCTION:

REPSOL is multinational organization they are selling their products under name of
"REPSOL" inside tie-up of Gulf petrochemical for their sales and production in India.
REPSOL has many kind of lube oil for various engine oil grades under its name. REPSOL is
new for Indian market. REPSOL has numerous contenders present in market some
significant contenders are Public Sector Units(PSU's) driving Indian lube oil industry with
more market portion & Castrol which is another driving privately owned business other than
PSUs. Presently it is vital for REPSOL to break down market, retailers and mechanics
(workshops) proposals and furthermore to dissect quality and shortcoming of contender
based on the examination work to figure new advertising system of "REPSOL"

PURPOSE OF STUDY:
To increase the market share and to retain in the Indian market and to get good-will for
surviving in the market because of heavy competitors in the market. Company has to get
knowledge about the market scenario, so that we can analyze the market and we can take
some steps to compete with our competitor’s. The competition is very high in the current
market and the customers want brand value, good quality of products with cost efficiency.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

This research work is done to find the factors that influence the buying behavior of customer
in buying engine oil in MCO segment & the survey analysis helps company to improve
market share.

Primary Data
The data was collected through one to one survey-based research approach.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 The recommendation that company have to plan new type of techniques and scheme’s
like Extra Margin’s/Coupon’s and Gift’s with some targets to Mechanic’s and
Retailer’s.
 The company need advertise about the product and many of them doesn’t know that
there is lubricant brand existing with name REPSOL. Advertising the brand like TV,
print advertisement, newspapers and magazine advertising, event marketing in a
region, Hoardings these are some of the strategy that I came to know while collecting
data. These are some strategy’s for the company to get some popularity in the Indian
lubricant market.
