HOW THE LIFE PROJECT FOR TEENS IS AFFECTED

IN PREGNANCY AND HOW YOUR FAMILY AND SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT

INTERFER OR CONTRIBUTE IN THIS PROCESS.

Problem Statement

Adolescence, a stage that occurs between childhood and adulthood, is a period

characterized by profound physical, psychological and social changes in which it is difficult

to establish precise chronological limits for this vital period that varies from 10 to 19 years.

It is a stage characterized by changes in the psychosocial sphere and in all aspects the

structuring of new functions occurs, which includes the level of self-awareness,

interpersonal relationships and social interaction, and from it the associated psychosocial

disorders are derived as: pregnancies. unwanted, homosexuality and personality disorders

among others. (Cortés Alfaro A, 1999).

The beginning of this stage is marked by the appearance of puberty (when sexual

maturation occurs), but we must differentiate it from this since adolescence goes beyond

the same physiological development. All this means that the end of this stage of life is not

easily identified and that it depends on multiple factors.

In this stereotyped society, adolescents face different factors that obviously frame a series

of cons for their full development, Taking into account that young people act according to

fashion, for the fury of the moment and do not see the importance of thinking reasonably,
for this reason we decided to study what these determining factors are in relation to teenage

pregnancy.

There are several factors that would determine teenage pregnancies, context, culture and

others that would be linked to making bad decisions, but to what extent can we call an

unwanted pregnancy? What are the expectations of the young mother, the family and even

what point would affect society? Although it is true in most cases, a family is not

constituted, due to the fact that parents are not prepared to play this role, this creates a

break in the basic needs of both the mother and the new being, since that acceptance mainly

determines a determining factor in people's lives.

How can these teenagers direct their life project, taking responsibility for it into account,

and also determine what role family and society play in this problem?

Problematic question:

What are the determining factors that cause teenage pregnancy and what is the direction of

the life project of these young parents?
