THE PAST BELOW THE WAVES

The archeology marine gets important information about the technology, trade patterns of
ancient civilization and culture through approximately three million shipwrecks that there are in
the ocean. Although, certain part of these are very deep in the ocean to research, and the other
part is very close to the coast, but this is offer damaged by plant growth or storm. Therefore, to
investigate ships in the depths of the ocean, it is necessary to use technology such as manned
submarines. The problem with this technology is that it is very expensive for people. Thus, this
situation has been modified with the introduction of a new type of mini submarine called the
automatic underwater vehicle (AUV). This small cheap boat moves freely and does not need a
costly mother ship to control it. Nowadays, a team of US archaeologists plans to use an AUV to
explore an area of the sea north of Egypt, because 4000 years ago this place was the focus of a
major commercial.
