Letter of Recommendation

I currently practice as an attending Physician with the Veterans Administration (VA) at the
Dallas Medical Center in Texas. I have had the pleasure of working in different institutions and
different settings including outpatient, inpatient and ICUs. I work with and train nurse
practitioner students, physician assistants, and medical students. It is my pleasure to write a letter
of recommendation for Sandrine Ndetah whom I have had the opportunity to interact and work
with at the Dallas VA hospital.

Sandrine is passionate, caring, empathetic and dedicated. Her caring personality provides the
basis for selflessly providing both nursing and medical care to her patients. She demonstrates
great collaborative skills, a strong work ethics and always goes above and beyond her required
job duties to serve as an advocate for her patients. She understands that system efficiency is as
important as patient care. She is therefore involved in different committees and projects to help
advance patient care and safety on her unit and the system as a whole. Some of the tasks she has
been involved in include fall prevention and reduction, and using external catheters in female
patients to help reduce the rate of catheter associated urinary tract infections on her inpatient
unit.

She is clinically proficient, she demonstrates concise and appropriate documentation, she is
astute to recognize when there is a clinical change in her patients medical status and knows the
steps to take to further diagnose, evaluate, manage or seek the right subspecialty assistance to
provide care for her patient. In addition to all the above which already make her a good provider,
she possesses the ability to do critical thinking which is essential given the increasing complexity
of the medical field. Her critical thinking skill makes her a great clinician. Therefore, I
recommend Sandrine without reservation for this position in your company as she will bring
immense value to your organization.
