“Think” Offerings
Mobile-ORG:

TCS' Mobile-ORG service offering introduces organizations to the Wireless


and Mobile Computing world and assesses the business needs for
delivering a secure mobile information solution. It provides organizations
with a step-by-step guide to transform into a mobile organization.

The Consultancy Model addresses the issues of mobility, information


security, business information accessibility, organization structure, critical
business process, etc. Such a representation is used to derive the Mobile
Computing Architecture.

WE-Secure:

TCS' wireless security offering provides a comprehensive solution to


secure enterprise wireless solutions. It includes Strategy, Design, Audit and
Implement, secure wireless networks and solutions.

“Build” Offerings
Development & Systems Integration solutions:

We undertake development of enterprise solutions across various industry


verticals on mobile platforms bearing in mind the investment in existing
technologies and extending them to the wireless platform with minimum
investment.

Key elements of this offering are:

PDA Applications: We undertake application development and


consultancy services to provide secure mobile applications on Palm OS,
Symbian EPOC, Windows CE, RIM and J2ME enabled devices.

Wireless Internet Solutions: We enable implementation of solutions on


Wireless Internet technologies like WAP, SMS, Palm.Net, VoiceXML and
i-Mode.

Multi-Channel Systems: We develop generic solutions to provide


information to any device, anywhere, anytime using multi-channel
technologies like XML & SOAP and systems integration on top of Oracle 9i
ASWE, Microsoft .NET mobile, Symbol Technologies and other platforms.

WISP-m-Payment Platform: Through our alliance partners, we offer an

Infrastructure Solutions:
Through our alliance partner, we provide our customers with wireless
Gateways (for WAP and SMS), WAP Push stack, Browsers for Desktops and
PDA devices, Alert Handling Assistants, and other solutions. We have the
capability to develop and deploy services around them that cater to the
unique needs of our customers.

Industry Specific Offerings:

Insurance Industry: PDA based Insurance Quotation System gives a


quick quote for any product and serves as an electronic rate book for the
Insurance Sales Consultants. Life Insurance Advisor takes a set of
questions from the customer and suggests a Life Insurance product
enabling a customer to take faster decisions. Claims Management
System is a PDA based solution for Loss Assessors / Surveyors that
provides quick access to the allocated assessments they have to do.

Retail Industry: Manufacturers & Dealers can benefit by Dealers On


Move solution that minimizes data capture errors, paper work and
facilitates faster sales. Schedule and routing information on the move is
a PDA based solution for transportation agents, to quickly process the
delivery data, damage and return data at the customer site. Mobile
Warehouse Management System, a Wireless LAN based PDA system can
provide accurate real-time inventory information, keeping track of
inventory entering and leaving the Warehouse with minimal human
interaction. Automated Data capturing system will provide more
accurate inventory measurement, yielding benefits in terms of reduced
need for risk stock, shorter cycle time and lesser labor costs.

Healthcare Industry: PDA based Pharmacy Sales Force Automation


System caters to the needs of Medical Representatives. Hospital Ward
Management, a mobile application, will facilitate the doctor's work on
scheduled ward cases. Medical Equipment Service Agents' Call
Management system will facilitate the medical equipment-servicing
technicians to work on scheduled cases and manual cases.

Framework-based solutions:

Mobile Data Collection Framework: A framework that provides the


underlying architecture for field data collection and synchronization (with
centralized information system) on diverse PDA platforms.

Mobile Call Center: A generic call center framework with a multi-channel


interface - available over Web, WAP and SMS for users and administrators
to Log & Assign calls, Track status, View solution details and more -
anywhere, anytime.

Banking Anywhere: TCS Mobile eBankWorks is an Internet Banking


System that provides features like online balance inquiry, list of
transactions, funds transfer, stop payment, bill payment, financial alerts,
etc., over Web, WAP and SMS channels.

TCS provides maintenance services for mobile platforms and solutions.


The scope includes setup, integration, enhancements, system support,
among others.

Credentials

For a leading US-based organization, TCS developed an extension of their


corporate Extranet to deliver information on Palm VII and RIM Blackberry devices online,
anywhere, anytime.

For a UK-based General Insurance organization, TCS has developed an Insurance


advisor solution for sales agents to facilitate policy selling in the field.The implementation
is on a PalmOS-based device and the information is synchronized periodically with a DB2
database at the backend.

For a leading FMCG organization in Japan, A Windows-CE based solution to


support Pre-Sales data gathering and analysis, while the field representatives are on the
move. Information synchronized with the backend decision support System on a daily
basis.The solution replaces the existing paper-based feedback mechanism, which has
reduced the cycle time of analysis from 3 weeks to an almost daily basis.

For a leading appliance manufacturer in the US, A PalmOS and barcode scanner
solution to track delivery of appliances to customers and capture signature and other
details almost online.

For a leading entertainment company in Finland, a gaming application was


developed by TCS. It uses pre-defined keywords as SMS messages to track commands
from various players and take necessary action.

For a leading retail product vendor in USA, which manages stocks and goods in a
retail warehouse.The stock information is captured on a Palm device and sent over the
wireless LAN, setup in the warehouse, to the main server of the organization.

For a leading Cellular Operator in Europe, TCS had audited and defined
architecture for infrastructure platforms for managing new mobile data services.

For a leading pharmaceutical company in Asia Pacific, TCS had developed a


solution for medical sales representatives on handheld PCs running Windows CE, to track,
control, manage and report their daily activities.
