When a ball may be in a Barranco a provisional ball can be played from the Tee
closest to that Barranco (Optional Drop Zones) this option is in addition to the
normal rules applicable. This also allows the player to decide whether the ball (if
in the Barranco ) is playable or whether to continue to play the provisional ball
instead
4) Trees
All Trees are part of the course and if a players ball lies adjacent to any tree then free
relief is only allowed when :

c) A player whose ball is witnessed (by fellow competitors or opponents) to have
lodged out of reach in a palm tree is allowed to deem such ball “Unplayable”
without the need to specifically identify such ball and proceed in accordance

An approach shot onto the 5th and 10th Greens must not be (undertaken) played until
the green is clear and all the players in the group in front are on or adjacent to the
next tee unless the group in front clearly permits you to play.
The playing of any tee shot on the 17th hole is forbidden until all the group in front
are safely back over the bridge and on /adjacent to the 18th tees (Y,B & R) – an
exception exists if they are playing off the white tee on 18 and they clearly give
consent for you to play if in doubt communicate!
11) Ponds / Lakes
The Course management expressly prohibits the playing of any ball on or below the
obvious or probable level of the pond liner (waterproof membrane) even though
protected by sand, gravel, soil etc therefore to equalize the effect of this the local rule
is to be implemented:
a) if a player needs to stand within the above areas to play a ball outside the penalty
area free relief has to be taken (full relief )
b) If the ball lies in a penalty area the ball cannot be played. Full relief must be taken
for ball lie and stance under penalty of one stroke.
