To the distinguished guests of honor, our beloved school principal, department

heads, members of the faculty, parents, graduates, ladies and gentlemen, good
morning!

First of all, allow me to quote the great American author, Stephen R. Covey by
saying that: “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.” This, ladies and
gentlemen, I can relay with full conviction, is what has been triumphantly
demonstrated among us in this institution. Despite the uncanny differences in our
races and nationalities, we emerge today as one solid body that represents our Alma
Mater to the world. We may have entered and enrolled here with different
backgrounds and aspirations back then and maybe until now but still one cannot
deny the unwavering force that holds each of us…and that is the quality education
instilled to us by our beloved school.

Perhaps, some of us are completely satisfied and elated on how they have performed
throughout the years. Others may have regrets in various amounts. However, neither
of these does not change the fact that indeed, we have been part of each other’s
journeys and successes. We all did not need to be perfect in everything that we do
in order to endure the days and reach this end. The diversity in our strengths,
weaknesses and personalities somehow made the way, because frankly, what a
tremendous boredom it would be to be with someone exactly like us every single
day! It may be such an unbearable experience to not discover something new about
life, about people. Each one of us is a unique puzzle piece that is indispensable to
the creation of a bright and beautiful picture. No one is insignificant and deserve to
be left behind.

I would like to consider that we are all gathered here today not merely by obligation;
for this day is filled with every reason to celebrate. In behalf of my fellow graduates,
I would like to thank every parent that is present in this hall today, for you have been
the first ones to believe that we deserve to see the world in different perspectives and
that we have the capacity to share ours in return. I also extend our heartfelt gratitude
to our beloved school, Hope Christian Academy for helping us maximize our
capabilities and potentials by letting each one of us to be what we want to be and
teaching us that indeed, our varieties are never a hindrance and are nothing but tools
to success. Lastly, I thank the Almighty God, Lord Jesus Christ who makes all things
beautiful even in the midst of the most complicated diversities there are.
