Adding your own Menu in SAP IMG

Sometimes, it is required to add your own node/submeu in the SAP IMG , in order to ,simpify
the access to customizing;as,

Following are the steps required:-

To add to this structure, in the development client, call transaction S_IMG_EXTENSION

Press F4 in the IMG Structure and select “SAP Customizing Implementation Guide”

F4 in the enhancement ID and select Z_EXAMPLE  via double click

Finally click “Enhance structure”

Position the cursor in the area you want to add to (only use the Example Customizing)

Use button “insert structure nodes as subnodes” to create new folders

Use button “insert activity as subnode” to create an activity.

Use the naming convention “Z_EXAMPLE_” for all ID, document names etc.

After you de ned a document name, click the “create” button to enter a description of the customizing step
(then press activate and save).

To add a customizing table go to the maint. Objects:

Enter the table as customizing object, Object type = S; transaction SM30

Press save on this level and go back to the previous screen and also press save there.
