Is Global Warming Real?

“Scientific evidence for warming of the climate system is unequivocal” —

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The Earth's climate has changed in every part of history. In the last 650,000 years,
there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the
last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era —
and of human civilization. Most climate changes are attributed to very small variations in
Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives. In line with this,
Scientists accredit the global warming trend to the human expansion of the "greenhouse
effect" which is caused by certain gases like water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2),
methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). These gases block
heat to radiate from earth to space which causes global temperature to rise.
(warmheartworldwide.org, n.d.).

On Earth, human activities like burning fossil fuels which increased the
concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, are changing the natural greenhouse. Other
activities like the clearing of land for agriculture, industry, and other human activities has
led to increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. As a result, there are
consequences of changing natural atmospheric greenhouse which are difficult to predict
but all of the consequences lead to one result: The rising of global temperature
(www.climate.nasa.gov, n.d.).

In recent years, global warming and climate change have been the subject of a
great deal of political controversy. But as the science becomes more understandable and
consensus grows impossible to ignore, debate is moving away from whether humans are
the reason for warming and toward questions about how best to respond
