Introduction

Me and the group conducted an interview at SMK HAMONG PUTERA PAKEM


about Listening and speaking material. I conducted this interview with 2 speakers,
namely the Teacher and Students we interviewed. The Purpose of this interview as a
benchmark is what I should be like when we deliver material to students so that they
understand what is clear, and we must package the material as if students are not
confused in the learning process and to fullfill the teaching Listening and Speaking
course assignments. in the interview process we get a problem about listening and
speaking material in the class that is lack of vocabulary in English, students are also low
motivation and feel lazy because students feel English is a language that is difficult to
learn. however these problems can be overcome by the teacher. by using some
exercises outside the classroom so that students can learn other than in the classroom.

Participant

The profile of the student he named Guruh Loava A.P.A majoring in accounting in
class IX, his Hobby drawing addresses in the Gadingan. And the teachers names is Ch.
Intidaruni S.Pd , 59 years old and her live in Soprayan, Girikerto, Turi Sleman
Yogyakarta Miss. Ch Intidaruni teaches at class IX, as an English teacher at SMK
Hamong Putera Pakem.

Challenge of Interview

. The challenge faced is when students do not understand the material being
taught, for example, there is only one student who understands the material being
taught. As for other problems experienced when teaching is when students are sleepy,
lack motivation, and feel lazy because students feel English is a language that is
difficult to learn. The challenge is difficult to understand for students if students
find a new word in English that has never been heard or spoken. so students must
repeat the words they just heard in order to understand and be able to pronounce with
the correct pronunciation.

Solution

The solution the teacher has way of dealing with the problem. Usually tells her
students to sing in English, provide motivation, tell about how the culture of Western
people, their food, beautiful places to visit and others. This is done to motivate student
learning and build their interest in English.
