You may wish to add a stitch detail (eg small scallops or picots) to the edge of the armhole,
or use contrasting yarns to detail the neckline, armhole or edge of skirt.

Break yarn and fasten off. Darn in ends neatly and securely.

(8 Vsts for front), skip 16sts, *(tc, ch1, tc) into next st, dc into next st**
rep from * to ** 3 times (4 Vsts for second side of back). There should be
16 Vsts, 16dc and 2 sets of 16 skipped sts which form the armholes.
Row 7 Ch4, (dc into middle of Vst, ch1, tc into next dc), rep to end
Row 8 Ch1, ((tc, ch1, tc) in next dc, dc in next tc) rep to last dc, (tc, ch1, tc) in
last dc, tc into turning ch of row below.
Rows 9-28 Rep Rows 7-8
Further rows can be added here to make the dress longer if required. Allow extra yarn
than is stated in the pattern.
Break yarn and fasten off. Darn in ends neatly and securely.
Add ribbon, embellishments or charms as required.

Row 8 This row sets the pattern and forms the armholes and the increase for the
skirt.
Ch1, (tc, ch1, tc) into first st, dc into next st, *(tc, ch1, tc) into next st, dc
into next st** rep from * to ** 3 times (5 Vsts for first side of back), skip
20sts, *(tc, ch1, tc) into next st, dc into next st** rep from * to ** 9 times
(10 Vsts for front), skip 20sts, *(tc, ch1, tc) into next st, dc into next st**
rep from * to ** 4 times (5 Vsts for second side of back). There should be
20 Vsts, 20dc and 2 sets of 20 skipped sts which form the armholes.
