A SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS

I. Objectives

At the end of a 30 minutes discussion, 85% of the pupils will be able to:
1. Identify the two ways in solving linear equations in two variables.
2. Discusses the two ways in solving linear equations in two variables.
3. Solve linear equations in two variables.

II. Subject matter

Solving linear equations in two variables

III. Materials
 Laptop
 Projector
 White board
 Black board
 White board marker
 Chalk
 Worksheets

IV. Teaching Strategies

 Discussion method
 Cooperative learning

V. Procedure

A. Preparation
The teacher will greet the students and will also pray and ask them to fix their chair and
pick up the pieces of dirt under their chair. The teacher will also check the attendance.

B. Motivation

C. Lesson proper
The teacher will present the lesson with the help of a projector and laptop. The teacher
will first discuss the meaning of the lesson. The teacher will now discuss the two
processes or ways in order to solve linear equation in two variables. The teacher will
discuss it step by step.
D. Activity
The teacher will divide the class into two and each group will be given 2 equations that
will be solved by substituting and graphing method and they will choose a member to
discuss their work in front of the class.

E. Generalization
The teacher will let the pupils discuss their work in front of the class.

F. Evaluation
The teacher will give a worksheet about solving the equation with the use of the two
ways in solving linear equations in two variables.

VI. Assignment
Determine if the ordered pair is a solution to the linear equation.
