    Hesed 2k19

    Date: 5th & 6th October, 2019.


    Venue: Puttur

    Hesed 2k19 is the MCYM Global Youth Day hosted by the Diocese of Puttur. We had our
    youths participate in the event. The first day - sight-seeing to Milagres Church, a historic
    Roman Catholic Church situated in the Hampankatta locality of Mangalore. The church was
    built in 1680 by Bishop Thomas de Castro, a Theatine from Divar, Goa, then to the Aloyseum
    and an ancient chapel at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. After that was a long journey to
    Tannirbhavi Beach where we sang the MCYM anthem. The evening concluded at the Bishop
    house of Puttur with an interaction with the Bishop and cultural performances by various units
    and dinner.
    The next day started off with the holy mass at St. George Malankara Catholic Church,
    Kodimbalala followed by the MCYM flag hoisting by Gheevarghese Mar Makkarious, the
    Bishop of Puttur. We had an interactive session by Fr. Saleen Kallupurambil. This was
    followed by a meeting and a rally. These two days were special as we learned a lot and enriched
    the true meaning of our youth movement.
