1.0 OBJECTIVE

The objective of this proposal is to seek the approval from the Vice Chancellor
(“VC”) of DRB-Hicom University of Automotive Malaysia(”DHU”), for the
following:

1.1 To conduct the “iHOPE” programme. The details of the event are :-

Time : 7.30 a.m. - 9.30 p.m.
Venue : Kuantan , Pahang Darul Makmur
1.2 To seek consent and approval to seek for the sponsorships for the
programme as follows :-

TOTAL BUDGET FOR THIS PROGRAMME : RM 4,991.40

1.3 To approve the request of a cash advance of RM 4,991.40 (Ringgit Malaysia:

Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-one and Forty Cents only) to be given
to Madam Ros Laila Mohamad. The claim will be submitted within 7
working days upon completion of the programme.

2.0 BACKGROUND

2.1 Objectives of this event are as follows:

a) This event is served as a corporate social responsibility (“CSR”)

activity for DHU.

b) To produce a balanced graduate with relevant skill, knowledge,

attitude and attributes of behaviour, in accordance to the Malaysia
Education Blueprint (2015-2025).

c) This event is also a prerequisite to this subject Co-curriculum

(MPU 2412).

The program’s facilitators for this event are among the staff and DHU’s
students. There will be 16 students (Semester 2 ) that will conduct this
program from Foundation in Bussiness (“FIB”). In addition, a total of 6
students from FIE are expected to assisting the 10 FIB students for this
event. All of the facilitators for this program will be supervised by Madam
Ros Laila Mohamad.

2.2 The Project Team structure for this programme is as follows:

As of now, list of programme committee name have confirmed in Appendix C (in

paragraph 2.2.)

Detail of the programme is tabled in Appendix B.

Total proposed budget for the event is RM 4,991.40. Breakdown of the budget is as

6.0 LIMIT OF AUTHORITY (LOA)

According to the LOA dated 7 April 2016 under paragraph 6.1, Operating
Expenditure, for amount up to RM50,000.00 the CEO is the approving authority.
Hence, this paper is within the CEO’s for consideration and approval accordingly.

7.0 BUDGET PROVISION

The budget for the academic project and event has been provided and approved in
the Annual Management Plan (“AMP”) for the Financial Year (“FY”) 2016/17. The
summary of the proposed budget and the amount requested is as shown below:

8.0 RECOMMENDATION

The Deputy Vice Chancellor of DHU, after considering the above, recommends that
the VC of DHU to approve the followings:
a) To conduct “iHOPE”
programme.
b) To give consent to seek sponsorships for this event as required by this
subject MPU2412.
c) To seek approval of the attached sponsor letter as per Appendix D.
d) To source of sponsors for the programme stated in the paragraph 1.2.
To approve the request of cash advance of RM 4,991.40 (Ringgit
Malaysia: Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-one and Forty Cents
only) to be given to Madam Nurul Farhah Binti Hamidi. The claim
will be submitted within 7 working days upon completion of the
programme.
