A NARRATIVE REPORT
NUTRITION MONTH 2019
“Kumain Nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo… Push Nation ‘to!”
July 24, 2019

I. RATIONALE:

As stipulated in the DepEd Memorandum, all schools are directed by the

Department of Education (DepEd) to participate in 219 Nutrition Month Celebration
with the theme “Kumain Nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo. Push Natin ‘to!” in support
of the development endeavor of the nutrition community spearheaded by the
National Nutrition Council.

II. OBJECTIVES:

 this is to encourage everyone in advocating and realizing the consumption of

healthy diets;
 increasing physical activity; and
 reducing sedentary behavior.

III. PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES:

 The grade 12 organization is the one who signed to be the host of the said
program. The faculty of grade grade 12 planned about the date and the different
contest to be conducted on the said activity, the Nutrition Month 2019.

 Submitted a letter to the School Principal, Mr. Jeruel I. Vasquez,

informing and seeking his approval about the date and activities in celebrating the
Nutrition Month 2019.

 The grade 12 chairman conducted a meeting with the chairman of the

different grade levels and head teachers to disseminate the information and asked if
there is any suggestion that can make the celebration of Nutrition Month more
meaningful.

Ylagan, as our guest speaker

IV. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:

99% of students from grade 7 to grade 12 participated in the celebration

of Nutrition Month 2019. It was conducted last July 24, 2019 at SJNAIHS Covered
Court. The different activities are: Mass dance; poster making contest; jingle writing
contest; cooking contest; quiz bee; and search for Mr. and Ms. Nutrition Month
2019.
