communications and productions easier in the workplace. This technology is used in various ways
at the workplace which includes data sharing, data protection, fast decision making, knowledge
management. The usage of technology in the workplace helps in increasing the flow of information
more accessible and it creates a user-friendly environment where the users can interact with
technology at a comfortable pace.

HIGH TECH WORKPLACE: A BOOM IN TODAY’s TECH SCENARIO:

All the tech companies have moved into an era where their workplace is revolutionized and has
become tech smart. The smart collaborative tools have tuned the ways of communication in the
workplace, transforming how the colleagues interact, plan and develop ideas. Apps like G Suite
and Office365 have bolstered productivity. Employees can use these cutting-edge apps and replace
time-consuming meetings and spam emails. Slack will bring all team communication in one
place. It brings collaborative activities in one place, whether we belong to large or small
enterprises. It is available on any device, so we can access our team and our work whether we are
at the desk or on the go. It has reached 8 million active daily users in 2018, which has become a
driving workforce in this modern world.

The employee wellness programs are important to workplace health but they do not make a
difference if employees don't participate. But, a growing number of fitness apps and high-tech
gadgets popping up, these apps serve as a personal trainer. Many employees have gained diet-
related problems due to work-life stress and emotional instability. The Jefit application can create
a unique workout that targets your goals. The free fitness and body enriching app enables the
persons to create a Jefit profile that synchronizes with data so that we can download information
to our personal information. Next comes the Hapilabs Hapifork, which tracks our health and
fitness progress and keeps a record of our performance and also helps in mindfulness.

With many new, creative and innovative applications at play, some upcoming technologies have a
potential impact on business and revolving in cutting-edge techies. Telecommunications
companies began rolling over implementing 5g networks. It offers fast connectivity at lower
latency and low power consumption. The mainstream blockchain applications have got
maximum reach and it helps in increasing the security in the transfer of payments via the hash
method. The more AI-Enabled platforms help in high automation and companies like TCS have
shifted to RPA (Robotic Process Automation). It helps in focusing on core work and reduces
manual task.

With the acquisition of AI technology, comes the machine learning which is under rapid
progressions and enhancements. Machine learning is going to be the hottest topic in the upcoming
tech era. Another interesting tech is the 3d printing which is expected to be a catalyst in the future
manufacturing sector. 3D Printing makes it easier to make a prototype and test it, instead of

Augmented Reality has developed recently in the market. As this tech continues to advance, it is
going to provide businesses with an incredible and amazing way to showcast their products. This

In the future, one thing is sure that all human roles will be ultimately creative so that they can

humans will be creative. It is certain that the organizations will be digitized in the future and the

Innovation and creativity are highly important and technology is a big part of that. But one thing
we should never forget is that the workplace is designed for people to be comfortable and it exists
for them and must be designed in a way that supports human interaction as much as possible.
However many employees face the struggle of updating themselves to the technological changes
that happen every day. If they aren’t capable they might face the risk of losing their jobs. Another
major challenge is that to what extent they can cope with the tech jargons is a million dollar
question. With a little planning and thoughtful design, the workplace can be made smarter that is
both high tech and high touch.

When it comes to high tech workplace, the usage of technology becomes vast. It makes all of us
lazy when it comes to communication. Many workplace layouts are cubicle and make the problem
worse. On the whole, a more flexible work-environment design encourages activity-based
working. For example, the Assemblage, a co-working and co-living space in New York City, has
a good mix of space that supports different ways of working. This high-tech workplace leads us to
a syndrome called "shiny-object-syndrome”. According to this, people get focused on the latest
and greatest software, apps or IOT sensors. These are still the most important elements of the
modern digital workplace.
Before we invest in some new technology, we should verify whether it will help in progressively
improving the business, integrating with the existing workplace tech software, easy accessibility
from anywhere and managing the data.

The most excellent workplace doesn't just have the latest technology, they are designed and
facilitated in such a way that molds and encourages positive interaction between the employees. If
leveraged correctly, technology can influence positively and support humanity rather than push it
away. It can help engage, recognize and protect those we care about and the employees who work
in the organizations.

From huge installations to interactive tools, there are several ways to increase the effectiveness of
workplace that employees flourish through smart design and technology. They are:
