Baby bear sleeping on the moon

Materials and Tools

You can make this project with any type of yarn you like (any 4-medium
worsted weight yarn). Size depends on yarn and hook used. The item in
the pictures is 45cm/18” long and 40cm/16” tall.
You’ll need yarn hook (suggested number on the yarn etiquette*), fibrefill,
scissors, yarn needle, stitch marker.
Important Notes
➢ This pattern is written using US crochet terms.
➢ This pattern is amigurumi style, which is spiral rounds (except if
there is a different description), so work in continuous rounds
without joining (use a stitch marker if you need).
➢ Stitch counts are indicated in parentheses at the end of every row.
➢ For the pattern parts that have to be worked in rows (back and
forth), the starting chain for each row has to be counted as a single crochet according to the
specific description.
➢ This pattern uses single crochet. Therefore, decreases and increases have to be single
crochet.
➢ *The hook that you’ll use is the one suggested on the yarns etiquette. Important: your
crocheting tension will affect the result so adjust accordingly (half number down if you find your
self crocheting too loosely or half number up if you find your self crocheting too tightly).
➢ Friendly advice: before you start take your time to read the pattern. If you have any questions
please feel free to contact me through Etsy or pm through my Facebook Page. I’ll be happy to
help you.

Assembly
On the next pictures you’ll see the procedure of putting together the parts (sewing points). After you’ll
finish with the parts together (head, body, hands and legs) then sew and embroider the details on the
head and the body (tail, muzzle, patches and eyes).
Then secure the moon between the hands and put a couple of stitches between the cheek and the
moon. Make a couple of stitches on the moon’s edge under the belly too.
**Invisible decrease: this stitch can be used to take the place of a regular “decrease”,or “sc2tog”. It
creates a virtually *invisible decrease*, rather than the bump that is made by a sc2tog. It is commonly
abbreviated into the following steps:
Insert the hook into front loops only of next 2 stitches, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn
over, pull through final 2 loops on hook ‐ counts as 1 single crochet.
You just took 2 sts and decreased them into one.

That’s all!!! I hope you enjoined this pattern and I’ll be happy to see and share your pictures in my
