"80 Peso Bill"

The money I've made was an eighty '80' peso bill, but not the ordinary peso bill.
In the front part of the money instead of faces of our past presidents or our heroes and
other important person in our history I've changed it into a sun, the sun in our national
flag with eight (8) rays. I know we are likely seeing the 8 rays of the sun in our national
flag everyday, but honestly speaking others may not know or already forgot the
representation of the rays, and I want Filipinos to remember them. The eight rays
symbolize the eight provinces who take lead in fighting for our freedom. These
provinces are Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Pampanga, Bataan, Laguna, Batangas, and Nueva
Ecija.

The color of the money was brown because it symbolizes solidity which these
provinces showed during the time of war for freedom. And the serial number ‘BP88888’
stands for ‘Brave Provinces into infinity and beyond’. And there's a reason behind why
it became 80-peso bill, every number has a certain power and representation to its
connection in universal principles. The number '8' represents continuality, infinity and
forever which I concluded in the value of money as the bravery and heroic acts of these
provinces that will never be forgotten and their epicness will continue to sail in every
part of our history. The symbolic expression of zero '0' in 80 is nothingness which
somehow contradicts the meaning of '8', but it balances the message which for me if
these provinces didn't have the courage to fight we are still not free in some way from
those who colonized us together with our heroes we credit this freedom to them.

In the back phase/part, I've included there the landmarks, religious and historic
sites that symbolizes each of the eight provinces. In Manila there's the Rizal Park or
known as Luneta, for Bulacan the Barasoain Church, Nayong Pilipino for Pampanga,
Dambana ng Kagitingan for Bataan, Pagsanjan Falls for Laguna, then Taal Volcano for
Batangas, and Rice Fields for Nueva Ecija. I’ve put the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine of
Cavite in front because this is where our flag was raised, and our freedom was
declared. Each landmark, religious and historic sites, have their impact and influence in
provinces where they're located. As these provinces leave big changes and differences
in our history.

I’m hoping and wishing that our government specifically the Central Bank of the
Philippines will issue a money that will commemorate and honor these provinces for
their bravery and boldness. It's okay if it is just limited, like the money they are issuing
if it's their anniversary or for the birthday celebrations of our heroes. It can be a simple
remarks and reminder for those who slowly forgetting the contribution of these
provinces in our history.
