I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Discuss the following basic hip-hop dance steps
2. Interpret and perform the following basic hip-hop dance steps
3. Participate actively during the activity

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

A. TOPIC: Basic hip-hop dance steps


B. REFERENCE: Physical Education and Health TMs/LMs
C. TIME ALLOTMENT: 1 hr.
D. MATERIALS: Visual aids, pictures, laptop/cellphone, speaker, props/costume for
hip-hop dance

III. PROCEDURE:

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY
 Prayer
 Checking of attendance
 Checking of assignment
 Review of the past lesson

B. MOTIVATION:
“STOP! LOOK! AND GUESS!”
- The teacher will wear/model some props/costume for hip-hop dance.

C. LESSON PROPER:
 Warm-up exercise
 Students will try to interpret the step-by-step instruction written on the board
 Students will perform the basic hip-hop dance steps with the help of teacher

Basic Hip-hop dance steps:


1. COOL WALK
2. HIP-HOP WAVE
3. GLIDE STEP
4. PUMP STEP
5. THE TURN STEP
6. HIP ROLL
7. JUMPING JACK CHANGES
1V. ASSESSMENT/ EVALUATION:

 Each group will create a simple dance routine based on the basic hip-hop
dance steps (at least 5 steps) they have learned from the lesson.
 They will use same music.

V. ASSIGNMENT:

Answer “REFELECTIVE QUESTIONS”


1. How did you find the workout? Was it easy to perform? Why?
2. What other health benefits did you achieve performing the hip-hop aerobic?
