Greetings!

We, a group of fifth year students of the University of Baguio taking up Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering, are having an experimental research in our subject Project Study entitled, “Integrated
Assessment of the use of Pili Nut shell as a Substitute for Coarse aggregate in concrete.” We aim to
determine the strength of the concrete cylinder and beam thru the Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
but our school’s UTM is yet to be fixed.

In relation to this, may we respectfully request for you to test our concrete samples on October 29,
2019. Also, may we kindly request for a possible discount if you allow us to do so?

We are looking for your favorable response with regards to our request. It would be a great help to our
experimental research and our learning as future engineers if you test our concrete samples with the
use of your UTM.
