Given are the diagrams below showing the changing changes at West Park Secondary School in
1950 compared with the two years 1980 and 2010. Overall, the area was thoroughly/
dramatically/ significantly transformed after 60 years. While the school and playground had
stayed the same, the houses and farmland had disappeared after 30 years.
As can be seen from the diagramsmap, in 1950, the school was divided into four equal- part
including a group of residential houses, a school, a piece of farmland, and a playground with the
equivalent areas. However, the three rows of houses in the upper left-hand corner of the
diagrams map had been converted removed to make room for ainto a car park and a science Formatted: Highlight
block in by 1980. By 1980, the farmland near the houses also was had been altered converted
into the a sports field.
By 2010, the original sport field of 1950 had been turned into a part of the the car park had been
increased in size, whereas the playground was reduced to a half of the 1950’s size as the
remaining area was used as a sports field.
HoweverThroughout the period, the science block and school (main building) remained
unchanged in the upper right-hand corner of the map from 1980 to 2010.
