 Reminders
 Set learners’ mood ready for the lesson
B. Motivation
Ask the learners the difference between the two words
explicit and implicit.
“What’s the difference between implicit and explicit?

The teacher will let the learners review/recall the

different rules in finding the Derivatives.

C. Lesson Proper
The teacher will ask the learners of what is Implicit
Differentiation?
Implicit Differentiation- the process of finding
the derivative of a dependent variable in an implicit
function by differentiating each term separately, by
expressing the derivative of the dependent variable as a
symbol, and by solving the resulting expression for the
symbol
The teacher will give the general rule in Implicit
Differentiation to derive a function.
RULE: Take the derivative of every variable,
but when you take the derivative of “y” you must
𝒅𝒚
multiply by “ 𝒅𝒙 ”.
The teacher will give examples.
