HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AND MANPOWER RESOURCES

The Barangay Health Center was usually their primary care provider for the residents of

Barangay Manggahan because it is free and walking distance from their homes. Some of the

residents go to the private clinic and hospital.

The health care officials available, there is a doctor, a dentist, a nurse, a midwife, a

nutrition scholar and an aide.

Barangay Manggahan has a total of 17,801 population

are breastfeeding while 20% are bottle-feeding.

This shows that some of the families in Barangay Manggahan, Purok State Land Hills are
aware that breastfeeding is the normal way of providing young infants with the nutrients they
need for healthy growth and development, and it also protect the baby from diseases and
malnutrition. Some infant are not breast fed because some of their mother have work and most
of them are busy doing household chores. They do not have time to breast fed their baby. They
just prepare formula milk for the baby to drink.

Profile of the Residents According to Food Preference

Based on the given data, 39% of the population of Barangay Manggahan prefere

vegetables. 21% like fish while 17% like mixed vegetable, fish, pork & poultry. 16% wants pork,

3% poultry and 2% for beef processed food.

This data shows that Baranggay Manggahan is very abundant with vegetable. Majority of the

population prefers vegetable because they plant their own vegetable and they can save money

on groceries. Planting your own vegetable can give you fresh and healthy food. Also, you are

reducing the risk of eating vegetables that contain harmful chemicals.
