Subject: Afro-Asian Literature

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. EN8VC-IVb-12-raise questions about a particular aspect of a material viewed
b. EN8V-IVb-15-use various strategies in decoding the meaning of words, and
c. EN8LT-IVb-13- identify notable literary genres contributed by South and West Asian writers.

Materials: Pictures, visual aids, chalkboard

B. Motivation / Pre Reading


 The teacher will show the picture of tree on the board. She will call volunteer to
recognize it then she will let his/her student to identify it.
 What can you see on the board?
 What usefulness do we get from trees?
 How is tree different /similar with our National tree (narra)?
 What about Molave? Are you familiar?

 Unlocking Difficulties
The teacher will give the meaning of the difficulties words.

3. The teacher will ask some question about what they understand in the reading
selection. She will let the students to share their insight

Write your own reflection on the reading passage “ Grow and Be like the Molave” based on
what the messages of behind them in half sheet of crosswise paper.

On the reading passages, why does he want us to grow and be like the molave.
Give four reason sentences on your notebook.
