A researcher wants to find out gender gaps in a classroom. The researcher observed the teacher and
the students during an actual classroom discussion. The researcher observed that most questions given
by the teacher were answered by male students. The teacher often called the male students first before
a female student is called. The physical structure of the class is arranged in a way that the boys are
separated from the girls.

PLANNING THE ACTUAL GATHERING OF DATA

Planning the actual gathering of data ensures a more efficient and organized collection of data.
This involves preparing a schedule of activities. For this purpose, a Gantt chart may be used. A Gantt
chart is a plan of activities in the duration of your research. Below is an example of a Gantt chart.
