Aesthetics:

SHM prototype was made with transparent sides with the internal components being shown. That
might be passable for a prototype, but for releasing it into the market, we need to work on its look
and feel, so that we can attract more customer attention.

Parameters:

Outside Look: SHM’s competitors like uHoo who work in the same domain, bank on their outside
appearance to attract customers. They have used pure white colour, which along with being
minimalistic also goes well with most toilets as they are mainly covered with white tiles. We can look
at changing our transparent Glass exterior with white colour with straight shades of purple so that
that gives a premium look our product as well as not making a trade-off with its compatibility to go
with white marbled Indian toilets.

Price: SHM’s Competitors have increased their prices in the last 4 months with uHoo increasing it to
$329 from $229. This shows that we can notch up our prices too in the same domain and look at
investing the income in other places to increase customer engagement.

Ease of Use: As of now, SHM doesn’t have any handles to help the user pick the product up or place
it down. We need to look at implementing at least 2 handles on sides, an option to hang the product
on the wall and stoppers on the below side of the product so that it stays in one place.

After-sales service: We need to fix a customer care service unit so that consumers of the SHM can
stay confident in the product even after they have bought and used it for some time. We need to
have these centres evenly distributed across India so that customer doesn’t have to worry about
sending the product to remote locations. We need to look at making collaborations with various
service centres who can perform this task.

Packaging Quality: Nowadays, Packaging of the product matters such that even before the customer
looks at the real product, they imprint an impression in their minds based on the packaging used.
Using air cushions inside the package shows how much the creator cares for the product. The
premiumness of the packaging will enhance the premiumness of the product.
