Dubbing Competition Standards Sample
1. Introduction
There are three rounds and in each the contestants are expected to dub a short
excerpt from a movie. The movie excerpt will be prepared by the organizers. It will
be dubbed by the contestants with their own scripts.

3. Contestant Rules:
The game will last for a whole month and it will have 4 rounds altogether
1. A preliminary round/audition will be held on July 5th. All teachers, on the same
team, will be competing to secure 2 slots in the major rounds. Two winners in the
audition will be determined through voting and will finally represent their
respective teams. (July 1st-5th)
2. The next two Fridays after the qualifying round, the competition among each
team’s representatives will take place. Every week, each team can only send (1)
representative to join the competition (within two weeks, the (2) representatives
from each team can both participate). Every Friday, (4) winners will be selected so
(8) winners can all participate in the final round. (July 8th– 19th)

4. In the final round, three contestants will be chosen as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
winners, according to the total result of the competition. (July 22nd– 26th)

7. Other Information:
1. Every Monday, the trainers will send the competition materials for the
contestants to prepare.
2. Every Wednesday, the training team will hold a short training to help everyone
analyze the things that we need to learn from the materials; pronunciation, liaison,
intonation and accent.
