 Diagnosis Phase:

Background of the project:

King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad is a good service provider in Hospitality Sector in Junagadh city
which is providing all the required services within one place to arrange any corporate and social
gathering as well as it is a good place to stay for visitors.

According to the analysis there are some factors which affect the footfalls in the hotel like,

 Location
 Rates
 Lack of awareness regarding restaurant in the local people
 Competitors

Etc.

As King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad is located in the area near GIDC which is not properly in city
and not exactly outside the city. Location of the hotel is affecting the footfalls of the people as
local people have to travel more in compare to other restaurant.

Although “Khushi Restaurant” is providing quality food but it is more costly as compare to
other restaurants which are providing food at very low rate. Khushi Restaurant is facing low
foot fall in compare to other restaurant because it is situated in the area around GIDC which is
not that much preferable to the customers and even it is situated in the inside area of the hotel
so these are the cause of low foot falls in the restaurant.

After analyzing the test and preference of local customers Khushi Restaurant has launched
“Gujarati Thal” which is generally preferable by local customers.

15 | P a g e
Problem Statement:

As per the study of the group, King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad, Junagadh is facing the problem of
less number of foot falls as compare to other restaurants and the main cause of this problem is
its location. This leads to reduce the revenue and awareness of the “Khushi Multi-cuisine
Restaurant” of King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad.

For the betterment of the Hotel it is necessary to reduce the effect of the problem and to take
some effective actions to overcome this challenge. There is tough competition in this sector in
Junagadh city.

16 | P a g e
Opportunity/ Problem Identification:

As Mentioned earlier King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad, Junagadh is located at the odd area, not
properly in the city and not exactly outside the city and because of that they cannot target local
people at their restaurant and most of the visitors are outsiders which are not that much
contributing to the restaurant’s regular foot falls.

So, as a part of Multidisciplinary Action Project promotional activities were done to cover and
aware the local people about the restaurant which helps to increase the footfalls in the restaurant
as the winners were given free lunch and discount coupons and each participant got discount
coupons.

List of opportunities:

 Ganeshotsav
 Gandhi-Jayanti
 Navratri
 Diwali

Etc.

Now-a-days social media is providing most popular platforms to promote and attract the people
towards hotel and restaurants with the help of social media marketing. Social media is a very
powerful tool to promote any activity and give true and fair view to the customers. King’s Kraft
Hotel Ashirwad is also promoting their Hotel, Restaurant, services and events on social media
platforms like face book and instagram which are the two most popular platforms. There are
many other social media platforms which can be the opportunity to cover the mass.

17 | P a g e
 There were the opportunities which can help to generate more number of customers in
the restaurant and helps the management to generate more revenue in compare to
another regular day.

18 | P a g e

3) Blood Donation Camp:

After that group and hotel management has decided to perform one CSR activity as being
Profitable from the society it is a duty of corporate to give something in return to the society.
For that King’s Kraft Hotel Ashirwad has decided to organize a blood donation camp on 2nd
October, 2018-Gandhi Jayanti as Gandhiji has dedicated his whole life for the betterment of
the nation and society and the day itself is providing a strong feeling to do such activity for the
society.

To fulfill that moral purpose group and management has done a formal meeting with the key
persons of “Sarvoday Blood Bank-Junagadh” and discussed required criteria for arranging the

As per the study of the group, awareness of the restaurant and hotel is needed and for that group
decided to organize promotional event which can easily attract the people and let them come
to the restaurant and hotel which is more effective in compare to any other modes of
advertising.

The main limitation of the Ganeshotsav-2018 was time for promotion, group had only two
days to promote the event and to attract the participants although there are more then 60
