Rainwater Filtering and Harvesting System
TITLE

Objectives/Significance:
1. To help the community by providing a sinple yet efficient rainwater harvesting and storage
system which provides water that can be used for several non-drinking purposes, in times of
water outage and interruptions.

water.
3. To help the community in managing rainwater runoff to prevent erosion, flooding, and poor
water quality in our lakes and streams.

Problems
1. Unpredictable Rainfall: Rainfall is hard to predict and sometimes little or no rainfall can limit the
supply of rainwater. It is not advisable to depend on rainwater alone for all your water needs in
areas where there is limited rainfall. Rainwater harvesting is suitable in those areas that receive
plenty of rainfall.
2. Regular Maintenance: Rainwater harvesting systems require regular maintenance. The
detachable filter needs to be replenished for at least every month. They can become as breeding
grounds for many animals if they became damaged or if not properly maintained.
