Research Overview 
It’s important to research on the science of your ideas because it’s at that moment you realize 
whether it will work or not. And if it doesn’t work then you research on how to make it work. In 
terms of my product, researching allowed us to explore methods on how to clean up the plastic in 
the ocean. We found that vacuums work at that depth from an article Mrs. Chou sent us. We also 
saw that approximately one million creatures die from plastic which is not good for the 
environment in many ways. 

Prototyping 
Based on the comments we got from our presentation, I don’t think we’re ready to start 
prototyping a viable solution. We were pretty solid on plastic until Mrs. Chou said we should look 
into fish farming instead. So as of this time, we are not ready. 

Cost and Other Problems 

Right now, the cost is the only problem. The materials that our submersible would be made of is 
really expensive to both make or buy. But, like I said before, based on the comments of our 
product, we might need to rethink what it actually does. Only then will we be certain what 
problems await. 

GOALS 
1. We have to now design a safe way to farm fish which is environmentally friendly and 
healthy. 
2. We must develop the website to make it look actually like a real one. 
3. Start to make a prototype
