Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region.

It is situated on a group
of 118 small islands[3] that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges

Its channels make up a large network of streets that start from the Grand Canal, a great way
through which many boats, large and small, run, the best known of which are the so-called

Venice has a legendary reputation for its extensive artistic heritage and long history as a reference
for European painting. The wealth of the powerful of the city (the Church, politicians and certain
merchants) allowed to maintain a prolonged patronage over painters, architects and other artists:
from Gentile Bellini in the fifteenth century to Francesco Guardi in the late eighteenth century.

In Venice is one of the most famous opera houses in the world, La Fenice theater, which literally
means "Ave Fénix" and lives up to its name, having emerged from its ashes after repeated fires,
the last at the end of the century XX. It was the premiere of some of the most famous pieces of
the repertoire, including several by Verdi.

Since 1895 the city hosts the Venice Biennale, 8 a name commonly used to refer to the Venice
International Art Exhibition, which includes the Venice International Film Festival, born in 1932.

En Venecia se encuentra uno de los coliseos de ópera más famosos del mundo, el teatro
de La Fenice, que literalmente significa "Ave Fénix" y hace honor a su nombre, habiendo
