Mr. Antonio Guterres

Executive-Secretary
United Nations
Sutton Place, Nueva York, USA

Dear Mr. Antonio Guterres:

I want to share with you my concern as a citizen of the world, facing the implications of
technological development on global environmental sustainability; Since we have all felt the drastic
change in global temperature, the shortage of environmental resources and the impact of
technology on the environment and the change of life in the last decade.
It is worrying to note that there is an overexploitation of natural resources for the manufacture of
technological devices that have a short useful life span; generating an environmental crisis of
unimaginable scope.
Although it is noteworthy that the industrial sector makes efforts to mitigate the use of non-
renewable resources, the implementation of clean energy and the invitation to environmental
awareness in the governments of each country, as evidenced by the report on sustainable
development goals 2019.
it is worrisome that an education of technological consumerism austere is not exist, conserving
resources that guarantee that the world by 2050 still has conditions for sustainable living.
I would like to suggest that as director general of the UN, do not spare any effort to invite all the
governments of the world and the large and small companies of world presence to the fulfillment of
the agreements, especially that of Paris and the deployment of environmental education policies
and sustainable development ; that allows the protection of biodiversity, water sources, the ozone
layer, food security, making technological and industrial development an ally of conservation and
not of destruction
recognizing our responsibility with the generations to come and other species that populate the
planet that invites us to join a and raice awareness

Sincerely,

Edna Jaidy Triviño Rojas
