Analyzing learning activities
1. Identify learning goals for the following activities:

a. Students are given a copy of a dialogue. They listen to the


dialogue and mark which words are stressed. (to improve comprehension
and understanding of the students)

b. Students listen to a description of a person and identify the


correct person by selecting from among five pictures. (to increase Knowledge,
and remembering of the students)

c. Students work in pairs and look at similar but slightly different


pictures. Student A describes picture 1 to his or her partner, and
the partner identifies any differences in picture 2. (to develop a Spot the
difference activity “to improve speaking skills in the students)

d. Students are given twenty sentences in random order and decide


in groups the best way to reorder them to make a story. (to encourage
students to analyze and to organize items)
e. Each student in the class is given one sentence which forms part
of a story. One student reads aloud his or her sentence; others
try to figure out whether their sentence goes before or after it.
Gradually they reconstruct the story (.to develop analysis and organization
skills of the students)

f. Students are given thirty verbs and are asked to arrange them
into categories of their choice. (to improve organization of the students)
