Born in 1521

Was an English philosopher who was best known for his work on the scientific method and for his help
in the british colonial efforts in north America

His book the new organon, organon mean tool was a key influence in the beginnings of the scientific
revolution he suggests laying aside of the old organon on which was a science based on deduction and
replacing it with a new organon on which is a science based on induction more or less the scientific
method of which bacon became known as the father of modern philosophy and his work is an important
foundation for the philosophy of the next 400 years
