Q1.A student secured 𝑛1 marks in two consecutive tests.

In the third test his marks

was improved by 5.8%(𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑥)[let this marks be 𝑛2 ]. If product of 𝑛1 2 &𝑛2 is
2052 when divided by 3, largest prime factor of the product is 19. Find the sum
of 𝑛1 &𝑛2 to the nearest integer.[𝑛 ≤ 50]

Q2. AOB is a line such that OD bisects <AOC and OE bisects <BOC. A line is
drawn from E to D. If OD length is 6 cm and two vertical lines DF and DG are
drawn to opposite side OE from <D such that point F is nearer to point O and
𝐷𝐹
point G is far from point O and OF is 8cm and FG= . Find area of triangle
5
DGF so formed.

𝑆𝑜𝑙𝑛
1. First multiplying 2052 by 3 to get the product

2052*3=6156
Now resolving 6165 to prime factors
6165=2*2*3*3*3*3*19
Given that 𝑛1 is scored twice, therefore 𝑛1 must be 2*3*3 as 𝑛1 2
is multiplied by 𝑛2 to give 6156, we got 𝑛1 =18 and 𝑛2 =19.
2.

As AOB is a line so <BOC + <AOC= 180°

1 1
<BOC + <AOC = 90°-----------------------------------(i)
2 2

<EOC + <DOC = 90°, <EOD = 90°, so triangle DOE is right

angled at O.
OD=6cm, OF=8cm, so by Pythagoras theorem DF=10cm.
10
FG= =2cm, by Pythagoras theorem DG= 2√34,
5

Area of triangle = √𝑠(𝑠 − 𝑎)(𝑠 − 𝑏)(𝑠 − 𝑐)

𝑎+𝑏+𝑐 2+10+2√34 2(6+√34)
S= = =
2 2 2

Ar= 6𝑐𝑚2
