Emergence of a Black Horse

A new black horse has emerged in the Baseball Field. Maryknoll Dominican
managed to hunt the Marian Hawks down with the overall score 2-1, in the
scorching heat winning the championship in the 2019 CSAA Meet, held at SMC
Open Field.

Not even the heat can could try to stop the players burning passion to this Sport.
Many sacrifices have been made to make them reach this championship stage.

“No matter the outcome of this match I am already proud of my team to be able
to reach this stage” said Ms. Princess Luis Dela Tina, the advisor of the Marian
Hawks Baseball Team.

The first game was not in favor with the Marian Hawks. Torres the pitcher of
Maryknoll Dominican in the first game managed to make most of the batters
make errors and do nothing but just stand still with his marvelous skills and
speed. Leaving the Marian Hawks to eat nothing but dust, score 1-0.

Losing the first match was an obstacle for the the Marian Hawks since it lessens
their morale. As if the the students of SMC managed to see that their team is
down so they give their best shot at cheering for them in hope of raising their
morale.
The roaring of the students was heard all over the field making Marian Hawks
blood boil with excitement, pride, and will to win. To not disappoint them the
Marian Hawks scored home run after home run which are being led by Perias Jay
who managed to make 3 home runs in the second match and Perias Jules
excellent batting which seems to know where the ball is going to go, with this
momentum the Marian Hawks win in the second match making the score a tie 1-
1.

After the second match both teams called for a time out to rethink their
strategies since the third match will be the one to decide on who are the
champion.

The umpire of the game said, “Both teams have qualities to be a champion” after
he saw what both teams can do.

All players and even the audience felt tense in the third match. The first few
innings were on favor with Marian Hawks they even celebrated since they
thought they won however the Maryknoll Dominicans managed to turn the tables
on the last innings resulting to an epic comeback for Maryknoll this makes the
score 2-1 and making them the Champion of the Baseball 2019 CSAA Meet.

A lot of audience was dissatisfied with the results especially on the Marians side
since they insist that there was a foul play in the game and that the Umpires was
biased to the Maryknoll Dominicans which is partly true but because of no clear
evidence their complaint was brushed off.

As to respond on to this the Coach of Maryknoll Dominacans said in the interview.

The awarding of the medals was emotional as the Marians were clearly
dissatisfied some even cry since most of the players can’t play again next year
because they are graduating Basic Education. Meanwhile on the Maryknoll Side
they were clearly happy and held their heads up high with pride.

The Game was clearly an event to remember as both teams showed

sportsmanship, skills, teamwork, and strategies beyond the Basic Education Level.
